BESS, Grid Balancing & Heat Recovery

More from the site.
More than compute.

We develop battery storage alongside datacenters and offer project services for grid balancing and waste heat recovery. The electrical and thermal systems are planned together, with a defined delivery and operating scope.

The infrastructure, connected

One site. Two energy flows.

Electricity powers the workload.
Recovered heat serves local demand.

A shared grid connection supplies the datacenter and a co-located BESS. The battery exchanges power with the grid for balancing. The datacenter sends recovered heat to local customers. Energy management coordinates dispatch and agreed compute flexibility.

01 / BESS co-location

Battery storage.
Beside the datacenter.

A battery energy storage system (BESS) is part of our integrated site approach. We develop storage alongside compute, connecting technical design with site and commercial requirements.

SITE & CONNECTION

Plan the shared infrastructure.

Assess grid capacity, metering, protection, battery placement, access and the separation required between site systems.

POWER & ENERGY

Size for the actual duty.

Match battery power and storage duration to dispatch, connection limits, cycling and the planned revenue model.

SERVICE DESIGN

Define the operating envelope.

Agree state-of-charge limits, maintenance, safety responsibilities and the priority of committed compute services.

02 / Grid balancing

Flexibility for the grid.
Clear limits for the site.

We offer the development and integration of battery-based grid balancing: controllable power that can respond to electricity-system needs within the permitted operating limits.

01

Prepare market access.

Qualification & responsibilities

Define eligible reserve products, telemetry and control requirements with the relevant market-access partner. Commercial activation follows the required approvals.

02

Coordinate dispatch.

Energy management / NEXXUS

Develop the control concept for battery schedules, grid obligations and agreed compute flexibility. Interfaces and functionality are validated for the project.

03

Protect committed services.

Power limits & availability

Keep battery commitments and compute availability consistent. Grid-balancing capacity cannot also be promised for another incompatible use. Critical workloads require their own resilience design.

03 / Waste heat recovery

Give the heat
a useful destination.

We offer heat-recovery planning and integration for datacenter projects. The aim is a usable heat supply matched to nearby industrial or district-heating demand.

CAPTURE

Start at the cooling loop.

Determine available heat, temperatures and seasonal operating profiles. Design heat exchangers around the datacenter cooling requirements.

MATCH

Find the right heat demand.

Assess the customer's temperature, volume and seasonal demand. Include a heat pump where the required supply temperature makes one necessary.

CONNECT

Agree delivery and metering.

Plan the thermal connection, investment scope, operating responsibility and offtake agreement before promising delivered heat.

Project scoping

Three conversations.
One site plan.

Compute customers

Share workload, power, cooling and availability requirements. Separate steady critical demand from any compute load explicitly agreed as flexible.

Energy and infrastructure partners

Bring connection information, storage requirements and your role in development, equipment or market access.

Heat customers

Share temperature requirements, demand profiles, distance and existing network interfaces. We will assess a potential fit with the datacenter's heat output.
